Do you want to achieve healthy, beautiful skin with a natural glow?
Fraxel laser treatments use microscopic laser technology to penetrate deep into the skin to accelerate your body’s collagen production to produce healthier looking skin.
Fraxel can help correct imperfections such as:
- Fine lines
- Signs of aging
- Acne Scarring
- Age Spots
How Does Fraxel Work?
Fraxel works by using laser technology to resurface the skin. A small amount of tissue is treated at a time to keep the adjacent tissue intact, promoting rapid healing. This procedure resurfaces skin by stimulating the growth of new, healthy skin cells from the inside out. Fraxel only treats targeted problem areas, so results are focused and effective.
Your skin may feel as if it is sunburned for 24 hours after treatment, and will likely have a pinkish/reddish hue. You can wear makeup to conceal the sunburned appearance, but it is also important to wear sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher, avoid direct sun exposure, and wear a hat when in the sun. Your skin may flake and exfoliate as it would with a sunburn. A moisturizer may be applied to diminish the appearance of dry flakes.
How many Fraxel treatments will I need?
The number of Fraxel treatment needed will depend on your skin ailment and your goals for treatment. For most patients, an effective treatment plan is 2-3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Results are both immediate and progressive, with desired results visible in approximately 2-3 months. This regimen allows for healing and the production of new collagen and elastin to replace damaged tissue. Dr. Correa will provide specific advice based on your individual needs.
